Assisting
To help prepare for your project, please assist us in the following ways.
Move all furniture and belongings from the area(s) where the flooring will be installed.
Because of small vibrations from saws, hammers, and air compressors, move all pictures from walls and other shelf items that may fall from their locations.
Provide space for the wood planks. The wood will need to be delivered to your home 3-14 days before installation for the wood planks to adjust to the climate, humidity, and temperature in your home.
Make adjustments as needed as our equipment requires 220 electric found at ovens, dryers, and breaker panels.
Provide access to your electrical panel as occasionally our equipment trips breakers connected to wall outlets and will need a reset, as needed.

Information
Henschen Hardwood uses HEPA-rated dust collection vacuums to reduce the dust from sanding as much as possible. While most HEPA filters are rated at a 99% efficiency, Henschen Hardwood also uses zip wall systems and air scrubbers to help minimize dust, when possible.
If you have chosen stain for your floors, this adds an extra step for our team and an extra day for you. The final step of your flooring project is finishing the floor. We finish with polyurethane or hard wax oil.
